CYROS

Reduce uncertainty in conflict.

CYROS is a AI-powered Decision Support System for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance.

Our mission is to reduce uncertainty in conflict.

One who knows the enemy and knows himself will not be endangered in a hundred engagements.
Art of War., Sun Tzu, 4th century BC

Cyros does not aim to be the next big data analytics tool, nor a specialized analytics tool for an intelligence discipline. It aims to be a next-generation decision support system for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, helping to reduce uncertainty in conflict. Cyros supports all-source cell analysts in two main areas. The first core functionality is the fusion of collected information and analysis results from different disciplines of intelligence collection (e.g. SIGINT, HUMINT, IMINT, OSINT, ...) and the second is to support the modelling, validation and testing of assumptions and hypotheses using traditional and modern AI-based algorithms. It provides some basic features for (geo)spatial, temporal and network analysis and extensive import and export functionality to seamlessly integrate third party tools.

The central theme is consistently oriented towards the classic questions: “who-what-where-when-how-why”. The system can be utilized for strategic, operational and tactical intelligence.

Using our system, all stakeholders, including customers, become part of a non-linear intelligence process with fast feedback loops between them, as a "network-centric collaboration process". Stakeholders include collectors, processors, analysts, knowledge engineers, data scientists and of course intelligent customers.

Our goal is to create a shared picture of the target from which all participants can take the elements they need for their work and to which all can contribute with their resources or knowledge to create the most accurate picture of the target.

Our mission is to

  • Aid intelligence analysts to reduce risk of cognitive bias, premature closure, operational blindness and more.
  • Assist intelligence analysts to make structured argumentation useful for dealing with complex intelligence problems
  • Provide target-centric and object-centric approach that supports a network-centric collaboration process.

Organize and Evaluate

  • Create and define intelligence targets
  • Organize smart gathered information and raw intelligence around a target for a comprehensive overview
  • Find easy what already has been known on a subject and save collection costs
  • Ongoing validation of information collected
  • Automatic alert if target specific conditions are met e.g. new gathered information belonging to an area, organization, etc.

Create and validate models and hypotheses

  • Support for AI-based alternative hypotheses generation, as mentioned in methodologies like Support Analysis of Competing Hypotheses.
  • Ongoing AI-based validation of assumptions and hypotheses
  • Identify patterns of intelligence interest by multisource analyses
  • Construct most accurate shared picture of the target that all stakeholders can participate in.

All-sources Analyses

parts of the all-sources analyses. Spatial and temporal analyses have been practiced by military, governments, commercial entitles for over thousand years and they are still important. Our open-source tool ODIN supports the geospatial analyses. Nowadays, the accuracy, speed and detail of data delivery and the analysis methods based on it have increased considerably.

Geospatial and Temporal Analyses

  • Display geospatial intelligence information on a selectable map and detect and predict geospatial pattern e.g. secret supply chains, replenishment or trafficking routes.
  • Sophisticated AI-based algorithms assist with modeling in space and time. The so created models can be imported and exported for further processing in third party tools.
  • Integration of the results of GOINT, SIGNINT, MASINT analyses
  • Provides a smart overview of complex geospatial models.
  • ODIN assists the analysts in human terrain mapping or modeling by providing the gathered information and analysis results on multiple layers.
  • ODIN's planning capabilities enable intelligence analysts to plan HUMINT, SIGINT and COMINT operations.
  • Detect hidden event-time-based pattern using Time-Event Charts, Pattern wheel diagrams and many more.

Network Analyses

  • Generate various network models out of the knowledge base like social, family, organizational, commercial, financial, threat networks and many more using predefined customizable templates.
  • Model targets networks manual or assisted by algorithms to automate the process. You can also save custom templates from manual models.
  • Run pattern analysis, link analysis, and social network analysis on the created models assisted by traditional and AI-based approaches.
  • Export network data for use in third party tools like I2 and import the results again. You can add selected result to the knowledge base.
  • Import network models generated by third party tools and add selected nodes and their relationships to the knowledge base.
