Collaboration

Exchange information securely via chat, video and files

Collaboration suite enables secure communication in decentralised networks

Our collaboration suite is based on the open source protocol Matrix. Features such as chat, document sharing, video and voice messaging are supported on both desktop and mobile devices.

Federation

In challenging environments, communication within a unit must work, even if the connection to other units is temporarily unavailable. Matrix's federated network architecture ensures this. As soon as the interrupted connection is re-established, the communication nodes are synchronized.

Security

Collaboration suite is ready for end-to-end-encryption (E2EE). As soon as E2EE is activated in a chat room, only active members of the room can decrypt the messages and read the plain text. Even if the communication server is compromised, the attackers are not able to access the plain text of the messages. The connections between the servers are secured with TLS.

Bridging the gap to other messaging services

The connection of other messaging services such as WhatsApp, Signal and XMPP is achieved with the help of "bridges". This makes the collaboration suite the one-stop-shop for message-based information exchange.

Beyond chat

The open architecture allows the exchange of information of any type. The C2IS ODIN uses the collaboration infrastructure to share its geo-referenced data.

Deployment

The server infrastructure required for the collaboration suite can be deployed on-premise and in any private or public cloud. Even hardware with limited performance is suitable as a basis for servers with a small number of users.
